I love to sew. Unfortunately I am not that great at it and I don't do it very often because I don't have the room for it. I wish I had a dedicated space where I could leave my machine out 24/7 so I could just sit down whenever I wanted without having to unpack everything, set it all up and then when I'm finished have to take it all down and put it away. A.N.N.O.Y.I.N.G. So this year when I was deciding what to get for one of my best friends, Jennifer, I came to the conclusion that maybe I should finish the table-top quilt thingy I was making for her dining room that I started TWO years ago. Yes, 2 loooooooooong years ago of thinking about it and never wanting to go to the trouble of setting up my machine. I already had everything I needed so it was going to cost my anything to finish it and I really want it being used and not just folded up in my closet. That sealed the deal so I finally got the energy to drag everything out and complete it. I have no idea how to bind a quilt so my corners are really bad. But, other than that I was really happy with it. I think I might make something similar for my own table.

That looks great...I think you should make one for yourself! All you need is an old desk in a little corner to keep all your sewing going...not much at all.
